1. Who we are

2. Accepting these terms

By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that you are able to enter into a binding contract, and that you accept these terms together with our shipping policy, returns and refunds policy and privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not order.

3. Products and descriptions

We describe every product as accurately as we can, including materials, dimensions and care instructions. Colours may vary slightly between screens and batches — wool, canvas and stoneware are natural materials and small variations are expected, not faults. Product images are illustrative; the specification table on each product page is the authoritative description.

4. Prices, currency and taxes

• All prices are in US dollars (USD) and exclude sales tax unless stated.
• Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and is shown before you pay.
• Import duties and taxes for destinations outside the United States and Canada are the recipient's responsibility, except where stated otherwise at checkout.
• We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order. If a price is listed incorrectly we will contact you before charging and you may cancel.

5. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send the dispatch confirmation, not when you pay. We may decline or cancel an order — and refund you in full — if the item is out of stock, if we cannot ship to your address, if a pricing error occurred, or if we suspect fraud or resale in breach of these terms.

6. Payment

We accept major credit and debit cards and the wallets shown at checkout. Card details are entered on our payment provider's PCI-DSS compliant interface; we never see or store full card numbers. Your card is authorised when the order is placed and captured on dispatch. If a payment fails, the order is not accepted.

7. Shipping and risk

Delivery estimates, rates and customs information are set out in the shipping policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and are not a contractual deadline.

8. Returns, refunds and cancellation

Our 60-day happiness guarantee, refund process, exchanges and warranty are set out in the returns and refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Use of the products

Our products are designed for domestic cats and dogs. They are not chew-proof, indestructible or a substitute for supervision: always supervise a pet with a new toy or bed until you are confident it is safe, and remove any item that becomes damaged. Do not use pet beds or bowls for anything other than their intended purpose.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, photography, designs, product names and the Paw & Pine marks — is owned by us or licensed to us and may not be copied, resold or used commercially without written permission. You may share links and images for personal, non-commercial purposes.

11. Reviews and user content

If you submit a review, photo or comment, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish it on our site and social channels alongside your first name and product purchased. We moderate reviews for spam and abuse but do not edit their substance, and we do not delete negative reviews.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability arising from any order is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, or for damage caused by misuse, chewing or failure to follow care instructions. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States. Disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts of Multnomah County, Oregon. Consumers in the EU, UK and other jurisdictions keep the protection of their local mandatory consumer law and may bring proceedings in their country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page when you place your order, and the "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
